Heze City of Shandong Focuses on Development of Biomedical Industry

In recent years, Heze City of Shandong Province, centering on the biomedical industry, has quickened its pace to build the “One Port, Four Parks” clustered development pattern. Besides that, the City innovatively implemented the development policy “Integrated Development of Talents, Converged Development of Talent Chain, Sci-tech Chain, and Industrial Chain”, implying the blueprint of building high-end biomedical innovation source is coming into reality.

Centering on the policy of promoting healthy and speedy development of the biomedical industry, Heze City has innovatively brought forth the “Enclave” talent notion in recent years, for example, it has built high-end “Talent Enclaves” respectively in Shandong, Suzhou, and Beijing, etc., and brought in more than 300 high-end talents.

“Thanks to introduction of high-end talents, we will improve Hezen Biomedical Industry’s sci-tech level and change the means of production little by little. That will help bring in a batch of high-end enterprises in the long run”, said Chen Jun, director of the Talent Recruitment Service Center of Juancheng County, adding that by virtue of digital chemical park, high-energy-level sci-tech innovation center, and smart sharing platform, Heze Biomedical Industry has achieved high-quality and accelerated development.

By focusing on the “Industrial Chain”, Heze City built and developed the “Talent Chain”, which in turn supported its “Industrial Chain”, implying its talent advantage was increasingly converted into its strengths in innovation, competition, and development. In recent years, investment made by “One Port, Four Parks” of Heze City increased by 64% annually on the average, with industrial scale going up by 30% annually on the average and doubling in 3 years. It is expected that Heze City will realize output value of above RMB 100 billion within 2 years.
