Haiyang to Build 100-billion-yuan-level Advanced Energy Demonstration Area

Dingziwan (Haiyang) "Carbon Peaking & Neutrality" Intelligence Valley Industry Promotion Conference was held in Beijing on September 4.

As an important part of Yantai's strategy of "one valley, one area, one island and one port", Dingziwan "Carbon Peaking & Neutrality" Intelligence Valley is a strategic project elaborately planned and promoted by Yantai based on its facts, as well as an important carrier for Haiyang to implement the strategies of "carbon peaking & neutrality", aerospace power building, marine power building and the integrated development of Jiaodong. Haiyang has been attracting offshore, onshore and airborne low-carbon innovation projects, as well as relevant talents to the park.

With the construction of Dingziwan "Carbon Peaking & Neutrality" Intelligence Valley as the main line and the development of clean energy (nuclear energy, wind energy, PV) as the basis, Haiyang has accelerated the building of a clean low-carbon energy system, achieving clean energy installed capacity of 4.27 million kilowatts and annual clean energy generating capacity of 22 billion kilowatt-hours, accounting for 7% and 20% of Shandong's total respectively. Having been ranked first among Shandong's county-level areas in terms of clean energy installed capacity, generated the first kilowatt-hour of nuclear power and wind power in Shandong, and been the first in China to realize nuclear heating, Haiyang is making all-round efforts to build a starting area for green, low-carbon and high-quality development.
