Zaozhuang Opens Up New Channel for Transformational Development

As one of the cities that started developing the lithium battery industry early in China, Zaozhuang has developed the industry for nearly 20 years. Based on the advantages of the industry, the CPC Zaozhuang Municipal Committee and the Zaozhuang Municipal People's Government have seized the policy opportunity of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", to foster lithium batteries as a focus of industrial transformation, and to build a model city of green and secure new energy, as well as the capital of lithium in northern China.

Zaozhuang has promoted the development of the lithium battery industry at a higher level, set up a work leading group on the development of the lithium battery industry, formulated the Lithium Battery Industry Development Plan (2021-2025), formed a lithium battery industry alliance, established China's first lithium battery industry union, launched China Northern Lithium Grid, and promoted the establishment of Zaozhuang Green Energy Investment and Development Group. Zaozhuang's lithium battery industry development is taking off.

With a focus on whole chain coverage, citywide distribution and full cycle service, Zaozhuang has expanded the industrial scale, extended the industrial chain and improved the quality of industrial development. A pattern of collaboration between upstream and downstream enterprises has taken initial shape in Zaozhuang.

In terms of whole chain coverage, aiming at leading enterprises, as well as upstream and downstream supporting enterprises, Zaozhuang has promoted organic chaining, product matching and win-win cooperation among enterprises.
