The cultural connotation and artistic expression of handicrafts is an effective way to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional culture. In Jinan, traditional crafts, branded with the cultural features of the famous historical and cultural city--Jinan, have made their way into common families amid the full rise of "Shandong handicrafts".

With a focus on "cultural Jinan" building, this year, Huaiyin District has accelerated the work of culture, cultural tourism and cultural creation for public benefits, assumed the responsibility of building a new cultural and artistic highland in Jinan, kept creating new highlights during promoting the prosperity of west Jinan through cultural development, and constantly built new cultural landmarks in Jinan.

Changqing District has vigorously promoted the integrated development of seven areas this year, including the leading cultural innovation area. This is an innovative idea that the district came up with for its higher-quality development at a new historical starting point.

As an embodiment of soft cultural power, traditional crafts need to be integrated into life in various forms, and their inheritance calls for industrialization. Based on this, Zhangqiu District has promoted the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional culture through handicraft innovation, kept exploring local handicraft resources, offered guidance on the upgrading of handicraft brands like Zhangqiu Iron Pot, Longshan Black Pottery, Youyi Gourd and Copper Percussion Instruments, and gradually established a handicraft industry system integrating production, marketing, research, promotion and display.
