Jinan Biomedical Industry Research Institute Established in Licheng

On August 17, the Jinan Biomedical Industry Development Summit was held in Licheng District, Jinan City and the Jinan Biomedical Industry Research Institute was established in Licheng concurrently. Under the theme of "Focusing on New Development of Biomedicine, Creating New Ecology of Health", based on the orientation of "building a strong socialist modern district in the provincial capital", the summit aims to strengthen investment promotion, pool industries, and bring in key cooperative projects in biomedical fields such as medical devices, biomedicine, healthcare, formulated food for special medical purposes and traditional Chinese medicine. 44 high-end biomedical projects were signed at the summit, including the Shandong Biomedical Engineering Public Service Platform and Stem Cell Industry Transformation Base. With high technological contents, strong driving forces and huge development potential, these projects highly tally with the goal of agglomerative and massive development of Licheng's biomedical industry, will inject new impetus for the building of more competitive industrial clusters in Licheng and provide strong support for Jinan's biomedical industry chain to achieve a scale of 1 trillion yuan.
