Jinan Accelerates Development of Aerospace Information Industry

After defining aerospace as a key industry for development, Jinan established a work leading group on aerospace industry development led by a member of the Standing Committee and the director of the Organization Department of the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee in 2019. Over the past three years, the work leading group has visited Beijing, Wuhan, Shanghai and other cities a dozen times, and facilitated project settlement in Jinan through communication with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Satellite Network Group, the First Research Institute and Second Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited, and Wuhan University.

Jinan also released the Three-year Action Plan for the Development of Jinan's Aerospace Information Industry and the Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Jinan's Satellite Navigation Industry, established Aerospace Industry Development Investment Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan, issued an aerospace information industry fund with a scale of 1 billion yuan, and set up a five-year aerospace information industry guidance fund of 150 million yuan per year.

Talents are first resources, as well as the key support for the leap of Jinan's aerospace information industry. Through the establishment of the Qilu Aerospace Information Research Institute in collaboration with the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2019, Jinan opened up a new prospect for high-level aerospace talent introduction and cultivation.
