Zibo Steers Industrial Transformation by "Ecology +"

Since the beginning of this year, Zibo has steered industrial transformation by "ecology +", and vigorously implemented ten actions for carbon reduction, thus making new progress in "low-carbon" development as an old industrial city.

Zibo has fostered new drivers, implemented the move-up program for its "four key industries": new materials, intelligent equipment manufacturing, new medicine and electronic information, built 19 industry chains such as new energy vehicles and AI, and supported Zibo's enterprises in making innovations. In 2021, the output value of Zibo's high-tech industries accounted for more than 50% of the total output value of industrial enterprises above the designated size.

Zibo has made great efforts to implement "six key energy projects": external electricity transfer to Zibo, clean energy substitution, new energy redoubling, coal-fired generating unit integration and upgrading, smart energy renovation and industrial waste heat recovery, so as to accelerate the building of a clean, low-carbon, secure and efficient modern energy system.
