Jinan Leads Shandong in Core Digital Industries

In recent years, Jinan has implemented the strategies of industry-driven development and digital economy, aimed to accelerate the development of a one-trillion-yuan-level powerful industrial city with a solid foundation and strong drivers, built two one-trillion-yuan-level highlands: advanced manufacturing and digital economy, kept enhancing the supporting, radiating and driving role of industry, promoted improvements in industrial and urban levels, constantly improved the innovation power, scale benefit, market entities and development ecology of industry and information technology. Jinan has achieved a historic leap ("a big step in three years") in the total scale of industrial informatization, jumping from the third echelon to the first echelon in Shandong in terms of key indicators. Boosted by industrial informatization, Jinan has achieved a GDP of more than 1 trillion yuan.

Jinan has also developed "12345" new competitive edge: Jinan has been ranked 1st in Shandong in terms of the development levels of core digital industries; 2nd in terms of the development level of advanced manufacturing; 3rd in terms of the total industrial added value; 4th in terms of the total number of industrial enterprises above the designated size; and 5th in terms of the total revenues of industrial enterprises above the designated size. In 2021, Jinan was ranked top among China's tier-1 cities in terms of the development levels of advanced manufacturing and the digital economy.
