Shandong Presses Ahead with Shift in Driving Forces

According to the economic data for the first half of 2022 just released by Shandong, Shandong maintained steady economic growth, kept unleashing the potential for high-quality development, and achieved brilliant results in the structure, quality, impetus and vitality of economic development.

The "ten key industries" are the main fronts for driving force shift in Shandong. At the decisive junction for achieving a breakthrough in driving force shift, in March 2022, Shandong included achieving a strategic breakthrough in driving force shift into the 2022 Action Program for "Ten Innovations", the 2022 Action Program for "Ten Key Industries" and the 2022 Action Program for "Expanding Demand in Ten Fields". By implementing the 2022 Action Program for "Ten Key Industries", Shandong aims to make the added value of the "ten key industries" accounts for more than 57% of Shandong's GDP.
In the first half of 2022, Shandong accredited 13 provincial strategic emerging industry clusters, and fostered 2,683 small & medium-sized specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative enterprises. Building on Shandong's foundation, advantage and potential of industrial development, the 13 strategic emerging industry clusters focus on the new-round scientific revolution and industrial transformation.

Driven by a series of measures, with stabilizing industry as the important basis of stabilizing Shandong's economy and promoting the sound development of Shandong's real economy, Shandong has been going all out to push forward the shift in driving forces with its industrial production and operation restoring steadily.
