At present, Rizhao City has basically formed a new generation of development pattern for information technology industry, supported by integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, 5G and the Internet of Things, big data, high-end software and information technology services, etc.

Rizhao has determined the general development plan for a new generation of information technology industry chain. With "building the industrial chain, supplementing the industrial chain, strengthening the industrial chain, extending the industrial chain" as the main tasks, with projects as the leading factors, with the park as the carrier, Rizhao will focus on stepping up efforts to develop the industries of integrated circuits and artificial intelligence. With application as the focus and promotion as the purpose, Rizhao will further develop the industrial Internet, 5G and the Internet of things, big data, high-end software and information technology services and other application scenarios, accelerate the launch of new products, improve the innovation capabilities of these industries, extend the industrial chain, and build a competitive new generation of information technology industry system with obvious advantages. The main task is to create three subdivisions of the integrated circuit industry chain, to create an artificial intelligence industry chain, and to promote the application of the industrial Internet, 5G and the Internet of Things, big data, high-end software and information technology services. Up to now, Rizhao City has built one provincial information technology industry park, two provincial software industry parks, and three provincial digital economy parks.
