Weifang: Auspicious Start for the First Quarter of RCEP in Effect

Recently, the reporter was informed that after 3 months since the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) came into effect, Weifang export enterprises applied for and issued 4,038 certificates of origin and statements of origin under RCEP, with goods worth RMB 1.31 billion, mainly for textiles and garments, chemicals and agricultural products, etc.

It is learned that since January 1, 2022, when RCEP came into force, Weifang Customs has taken many measures to improve the influence and application rate of the agreement, providing "one-to-one" personalized counseling services for enterprises and organizing many policy presentations "online and offline", RCEP research and response team has been set up to answer enterprises' questions more than 200 times to support Weifang's product exports.

For the next step, Weifang Customs will continue to offer policies and services to enterprises, dig deeper into regional trade growth points and help Weifang better integrate into the new pattern of regional development.
