Shandong Province Allocated 13.54 billion to Support the Construction of a "Water, Land and Air" Transportation Network

According to the Shandong Provincial Department of Finance, in order to support the building of a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network, the provincial finance allocated funds of 13.54 billion yuan from January to February this year, focusing on the construction of major projects involving the railway, airport, highway, waterway.

Support upgrading of the road network. 7.2 billion yuan was allocated to support the construction of national and provincial highways, and the expansion of 90 bottleneck sections of more than 1,900 kilometers of national and provincial trunk lines, the rebuilding of sections that run through cities, and major repairs of damaged sections. A total of 520 million yuan was allocated for the construction of "Four Good Rural Road" to promote the construction of a rural road infrastructure network.

Support the development of modern airport clusters. A total of 420 million yuan was allocated to support the construction and operation of eight civil transport airports and 17 general airports in Jinan, Yantai and Weihai, and to support the development of regional aviation and the improvement of safety capabilities of Shandong Airlines.

Support dense high-speed rail network. We issued and promptly appropriated 4.9 billion yuan of special government bonds, subsidized the construction of the Weifang-Yantai High-speed Railway and the Laixi-Rongcheng High Speed Railway, and accelerated the opening of main passenger transport routes in the eastern and northern parts of the Shandong Peninsula.

Support the development of water transport networks. A total of 500 million yuan will be allocated to carry out the project of upgrading the main waterway of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal and building ship locks, so as to give full play to the advantages of low cost and low pollution of water transport, and promote the formation of high-grade inland waterways that can connect the North and the South with all channels.
