Qingdao Customs and Jinan Customs jointly released news on March 9: according to statistics, Shandong's total import and export value reached 447.55 billion RMB in the first two months of this year, up 14.5% year-on-year with an increase higher than the national level. Among them, exports amounted to 264.27 billion RMB with an increase of 19.4%; imports amounted to 183.28 billion RMB with an increase of 8.0%.

According to the Jinan Customs Department of Statistics and Analysis Director Liu Sai, in terms of trade mode, general trade import and export is the main trade mode of Shandong in the first two months, whose amount reached 297.57 billion RMB, with a 10.6% year-on-year growth and a 66.5% share of the province's total import and export value. The import and export volume of bonded logistics in the first two months reached 74.77 billion RMB, up 71.5% year-on-year. Its amount accounted for 16.7% of the province's total import and export value, up 5.6 percentage points. This shows that after the application of the customs seal model for all 13 comprehensive bonded zones in Shandong last year, more and more import and export enterprises have enjoyed the preferential policies of the comprehensive bonded zone, and the import and export business of the comprehensive bonded zone in Shandong province has achieved rapid development.

For the types of import and export enterprises, the import and export value of private enterprises in Shandong Province in the first two months reached 313.50 billion RMB with an increase of 16.9%. It accounted for 70.0% of the province's total import and export value with an increase of 1.5 percentage points, showing that Shandong Province's foreign trade market vitality has been further enhanced. Electromechanical products are the main export products of Shandong Province, accounting for 42.0% of the province's total export value. Its exports amounted to 111.03 billion RMB, up 11.6% year-on-year. Among them, auto parts and accessories exported 17.99 billion RMB, game consoles and accessories exported 7.56 billion RMB, electrical equipment exported 6.52 billion RMB, electronic components exported 6.47 billion RMB, household appliances exported 5.62 billion RMB. These figures showed that the province's export product structure has been further optimized and the global competitiveness of "Made in Shandong" has been further enhanced.
