Shandong’s First Month of Foreign Investment Cooperation Achieved An "Auspicious Start"

In January, Shandong's foreign direct investment reached $830 million, ranking 4th in the country by size; the figure represents a YoY increase of 28.0%, which is 19.8 percentage points higher than the national level. Among them, the actual investment in countries along the "Belt and Road" was $250 million, an increase of 4.8%. Newly signed contracts for foreign contracted projects amounted to $1.10 billion, an increase of 170.4%; completed turnover of $700 million with an increase of 31.2%, ranking 1st in the country by size. Among them, there are 3 new large projects over $100 million, with a contract value of $810 million and an increase of 350.0%.
