On December 21, the 2021 Dialogue with Shandong: Israel-Shandong Business Matchmaking Conference on Agricultural Technology was held in Shandong Hotel. The event was jointly sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shandong Sub-Council, the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, Embassy of Israel in China, and Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry, and jointly organized by the Trade and Investment Service Center of CCPIT Shandong and Qingdao International Business Club (Israel).

H.E. Irit Ben-Abba, Israel’s Ambassador to China, Yair Albin, Minister Counselor of Israel to China, Yu Fenggui, chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shandong Sub-Council, Sun Yebao, deputy director of the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee attended the event and delivered a speech.

H.E. Irit Ben-Abba said that China and Israel are about to witness the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. In the past 30 years, cooperation between Israel and China in various fields has continued to increase. Shandong Province is a good friend of Israel, and the cooperation between the two sides is one of the good examples of innovative cooperation between Israel and China. Shandong Province is in a leading position in terms of the scale of agriculture and output of agricultural products which complements Israel's innovative technologies, offering great potentials for mutual benefit.

At the conference, Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Weifang Huayi Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., and representatives of 9 Israeli enterprises made presentations and briefed on their respective development advantages and cooperation intentions.

At the conference, Chinese and Israeli enterprises had one-on-one negotiations. In order to meet enterprises’ needs of online and offline matchmaking, the event adopted an combination of on-site and cloud-based method. Under the premise of strictly following the pandemic prevention requirements, it broke the limitations of time and space and helped the enterprises of both parties to communicate in a “zero distance” manner, which has won unanimous praise from both sides.
