25th Anniversary of Establishment of Binzhou-Goyang Friendship City Relationship

The videoconference on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the friendship city relationship between Binzhou and Goyang has recently taken place. Song Yongxiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Binzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Binzhou Municipal People's Government; and Lee Jae-joon, Mayor of Goyang attended and addressed the conference by video link.

Song noted that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the friendship city relationship between Binzhou and Goyang, as well as the launch year for "China-South Korea Year of Cultural Exchanges". He was pleased to gather with friends in Goyang online to exchange sentiments of friendship, seek common development and look into the future. Binzhou and Goyang are close neighbors linked by the sea. The past 25 years have seen frequent fruitful exchanges between the two sides, which sets a good example for Sino-South Korean local exchanges and cooperation. There are huge potential and a bright prospect for the cooperation between Binzhou and Goyang that are both at a critical stage of high-quality development, he said, hoping the two sides would further deepen cooperation and promote friendship to achieve win-win.

Lee said Binzhou is Goyang's first international friendship city among others. Both cities building on agriculture have transformed into ones with diversified dynamic industries after 25 years of common development. He expected the two sides to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in more fields and share development fruits. Both sides also promoted respective tourism routes online.
