On August 13, Quancheng Customs released data showing that in the first seven months of this year, Jinan's foreign trade imports and exports amounted to 103.54 billion yuan, an increase of 30.1% year-on-year (the same below). Statistics show that in the first seven months of this year, Jinan's imports and exports to countries along the "Belt and Road" reached 35.38 billion yuan, an increase of 33.2%. Jinan's main import and export way is general trade, with imports and exports in the first 7 months of 92.14 billion yuan, an increase of 36.2%, accounting for 89% of Jinan's total import and export value.

Private enterprises of Jinan dominate the import and export value, reaching 64.94 billion yuan in the first 7 months, an increase of 27.1%, accounting for 62.7% of the total import and export value of Jinan. The major trading countries (regions) such as ASEAN and the EU maintained growth, among which, imports and exports to ASEAN and the EU (excluding the United Kingdom) were 18.6 billion yuan and 11.4 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 22.6% and 10%.

In the first seven months of this year, the import value of agricultural products and iron ore in Jinan increased sharply, while integrated circuits fell sharply; imported electromechanical products were 19.38 billion yuan, a decrease of 9.5%; imported agricultural products were 4.44 billion yuan, an increase of 50.4%; imported integrated circuits were 4.37 billion yuan, a decrease of 28.7%; imported meat (including offal) was 2.27 billion yuan, an increase of 67%; imported aquatic products was 560 million yuan, an increase of 36.9%.

Jinan is an inland city, and its the substantial increase in foreign trade imports and exports is to consolidate traditional shipping and other international logistics channels, continue to expand new international logistics channels, and improve the quality and level of international logistics services. The data provided by Jinan Port Logistics Office shows that Jinan's international air cargo capacity has continued to grow. In the first half of this year, Jinan International Airport's international cargo and mail throughput was 26,300 tons, a year-on-year increase of 57.5%.

At the same time, Jinan's Eurasian train continued to expand its routes. In the first half of the year, 378 trains were launched, ranking first in the province. The quality of running continued to improve, which provided strong support for Jinan's initiative to integrate into the "Belt and Road" and stabilize the development of foreign trade.
