From June 8 to 11, the Second China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang. The exhibition is composed of 11 pavilions in three major exhibition areas: Central and Eastern Europe Exhibition, International Consumer Goods Exhibition and Import Commodity Exhibition, which collectively reflect the past experience and latest developments of economic and trade cooperation between China and 17 Central and Eastern European countries.

As the leading province of China's opening to the world, there are naturally numerous exhibitions of Shandong enterprises. On June 10, in front of the "Infrastructure interconnection progressing smoothly" display section of the "China-CEEC Cooperation Achievements Exhibition" in Pavilion 1, the booth set up by Shandong Hi-Speed Group attracted a crowd of tourists, and they spontaneously showed curiosity to a highway on the sand table model.

"This is the Serbian E763 highway construction project undertaken by our Shandong Hi-Speed Group. It is the first infrastructure project under the framework of China-CEEC Cooperation, and it is also the first highway opened to traffic by a Chinese enterprise in Europe." Cai Kun, General Manager of Shandong Hi-Speed Group's international cooperation company, introduced that the project won the bid and was started in 2013. In order to build this important transportation corridor in Serbia, Shandong Hi-Speed Group strictly followed the international high standards. The repair and upgrade project for the fourth bid section of the highway was also handed over to Shandong Hi-Speed. "In August 2019, at the opening ceremony of the E763 project, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic highly appreciated the attitude of our Shandong enterprises to keep improving."

He believes that nothing will stop the people who share a common aspiration. According to data from the Provincial Department of Commerce, in 2020, Shandong Province established 11 new Central and Eastern European investment enterprises; in 2020, Shandong filed and approved 9 overseas investment enterprises (institutions) in 17 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, and the filed and approved Chinese investment was USD 225 million; as of the end of 2020, Shandong has filed and approved 55 overseas investment enterprises (institutions) in 17 Central and Eastern European countries, and the filed and approved Chinese investment was USD 2.62 billion.

Cao Guoping, Director of Europe and US Office of Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce introduced, "Economic and trade cooperation is an important part of the cooperation between Shandong and Central and Eastern European countries. Shandong is also the only province in the country that has two national-level overseas economic and trade cooperation parks in Central and Eastern Europe." With the continuous development of the "Belt and Road" construction, the degree of cooperation between Shandong and Central and Eastern European countries is gradually deepening, and the level is gradually improving.
