In June 2015, the project of "supercritical extraction" of needle coke was completed and trial production was successful; In November of the same year, the Phase II of "adding hydrogen" was put into production; In 2017, the third phase of the "delayed coking" project was completed and put into operation, and all indicators of needle coke reached the leading domestic level.
The project gives full play to the technical advantages of Shandong Yida New Material Co., Ltd. while actively developing the needle coke production project, the project continuously extends the industrial chain, expands the product application field of needle coke, and actively introduces downstream projects such as negative electrode materials of lithium battery.
Needle coke is a high-quality raw material for producing high-end carbon products such as ultra-high power electrode, negative electrode of lithium battery, special carbon material, carbon fiber and its composites. It is widely used in the steel industry, national defense, medical treatment, aerospace, atomic energy and other fields, especially in electric furnace steelmaking, nuclear reactor deceleration material and ultra-high power electrode for rocket launching.
