The new generation of information technology is one of the seven "hundreds of billions" industrial clusters in Weihai and also represents an important part of the overall development thinking of "4211" in Weihai Integrated Free Trade Zone, that is, an advanced manufacturing base dominated by the electronic information industry.
The project is located in the south zone of Weihai Integrated Free Trade Zone and covers a planned construction area of 44,000 square meters outside the Customs Clearance Zone and a reserved area of 150,000 square meters inside the Customs Clearance Zone. It is planned to build modern workshops and warehouses suitable for different enterprises in the bonded processing and bonded warehouse blocks to meet the needs of enterprises for direct settlement. It is mainly aimed at attracting investment from leading electronic information enterprises in Japan and South Korea. Projects to be introduced include those of integrated circuit design, manufacturing, packaging and testing materials and equipment, high-performance router and switch and other network communication equipment R&D industrialization projects, as well as electronic information industries including communication, flat panel display, semiconductors, mobile intelligent terminals and wearable devices, virtual reality and artificial intelligence, computers and network equipment, cloud computing, Internet of things, high-end software, etc.
The special bonded policy in the zone can save a lot of funds for enterprises. As a special area under customs supervision, the following preferential policies are provided for enterprises in the zone: Bonded import of raw materials, no need to pay customs duties and import linkage taxes; Tax refund for domestic raw materials purchased into the zone, and actual drawback tax refund for finished products in other areas; tax payment for finished products sold in China by raw materials or by less payment of finished products. The above-mentioned policies can effectively reduce the production costs of enterprises and help enterprises effectively develop both domestic and international markets.
