Two-city national heritage park project

Project Industry Foundation (or Project Background):

The project was announced as a National Key Protection Unit by the State Council in May 2006. In December 2017, it was identified as a National Heritage Park by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. The total area is 392.54 hectares (5888.1 mu), of which the key protection area is 187.74 hectares (2816.1 mu), and the construction control zone is 204.80 hectares (3072 mu).


It plans to build a core exhibition area, a heritage museum, a farmland landscape area, a entrance landscape area, and a farming civilization display experience area. Combined with the heritage park construction and village renovation, it plans to build an ancient culture tourist town around the park, improving tourism industry chain of eating, living, traveling, tourism, shopping, and entertainment. The above-mentioned ancient culture studies and experiences are the core attractions, and building it into another famous national cultural tourism destination in China besides the ancient city Lijiang, Fenghuang and Pingyao.
