The total planned area of the northern part of the bonded area is 9.58 square kilometers, of which 2.12 square kilometers is the bonded fence area, with emphasis on the introduction of bonded processing, bonded logistics, international trade and other industries. Supporting area and port operation area are 7.46 square kilometers. It mainly introduces machinery manufacturing, fine chemicals, building materials and other port processing industries as well as the port logistics industry of bulk raw materials such as cotton, wood, ore, marine chemicals, rubber, pulp, petroleum coke, imported meat, chilled aquatic products.
The North Weihai Comprehensive Bonded Zone gives full play to the advantages of the national special regulatory regional policies, strives for the 21 policies of the State Council, replicates and promotes the free trade zone policies, promotes the development of "the linkage between zones, zone and valley as well as zone and port" and builds "Weifang Quasi-Free Trade Zone"
With a planned area of 2,000 mu, it will focus on equipment manufacturing enterprises in the world's top 500 enterprises and China's top 500 enterprises, implement targeted investment promotion and high-level investment promotion, and make every effort to build green, high-end and intelligent equipment research and development, production and processing areas, and cultivate a 10 billion-level intelligent manufacturing industrial cluster.
