A Financial Promotion Conference on Policies to Encourage Development of Headquarters Economy in Jinan was held in Beijing in the morning on April 9. The Conference, a themed event with clear targets, organized by the local government of Jinan, was intended to bridge the city with enterprises headquartered in Beijing, and promote the city's policies encouraging "headquarters economy" in Jinan, that is, to undertake headquarters of central enterprises and international companies.

This event was led by the People's Government of Jinan, hosted by Jinan Investment Promotion Bureau, and co-hosted by Jinan Investment Promotion Center. Over 20 influential Beijing-based central enterprises and financial companies showed up on invitation. Briefings are made on Jinan's advantages in the development of headquarters economy, as well as the city's willingness to embrace the Beijing-based businesses.

Officials from Jinan Investment Promotion Bureau and Jinan Local Financial Supervision Bureaus provided detailed interpretations on the cities' favorable policies regarding headquarters economy and industrial financing, so as to provide a clear picture for targeted enterprises. Major officials from the four crucial financial development districts of Lixia, Shizhong, Licheng and Hi-tech Development Zone provided road shows regarding the favorable policies and platforms arranged for business headquarters. The city's 6 major investment and financing companies also presented opportunities of targeted financial cooperation projects to the participating enterprises, with intended cooperators achieved among them.

Jinan is endeavoring to build up its "Four Centers" prospective as a modern international metropolitan that features scale, strength, elegance, wealth, and convenient traffic. Financing plays a crucial role in this construction. In its next major move toward this grand prospective, and also under the instruction of the provincial Party Committee and the provincial government to "Build a Northern-China Headquarters Cluster in Jinan for central enterprises and international companies", the local government will keep on fortifying its cooperation with headquarters of central enterprises, international companies and financial businesses, strengthening its tie with leading companies, focusing on building the headquarters cluster and fueling up the economic growth of the city.
